sr20 compression test?

i am about to purchase an sr20det but i need to do a compression test on it first. usually, on the ka and other motors, i use a compression gauge with a threaded fitting to go into where the spark plug goes. the problem is that the sr20 comes with the coil packs and im not sure if i can use that threated fitting. does anyone know what type of fitting i need? thanks for the help.

It still has spark plugs. It just doesnt have a distributor, cap or rotor. You can still check compression with the same type fitting as on your KA.

150 all the way across is reasonable, 160 all the way across is better , 170-180 all the way across is excellent. you do not want variance from cylinder to cylinder especially if its a 10% difference per cylinder.
