SR is under reconstruction please help

ok so real quick, the last time my motor was together i had coolant flooding into cylinder 4 and i need to uncover why before i reassemble the motor yet again. the motor has been to the machine shop right before this was happening and again afterwords. the block is not cracked, and it is perfectly flat i had it redecked after breaking it down again.

the bad, the head had 6 bent valves 2 bad seats and 4 cracked valve guids. all of which are being replaced... the head is at MAMS getting rebuilt with all brian crower parts.

now my question is, is there a way that the coolant could have been finding its way from the head into the cylinder given the issues with the head, or is it more likelly to have been a bad gasket or something along those lines. i need to know asap. oh and ironically enough the head is not warped in any way.
