Since I'm looking up parts to fit my 96 ka24e, I'm searching performance websites using an 89 240sx as the search string for performance parts.  I know they're roughly the same engine, but I'm curious about the internal coil.  Does anyone know if the 240sx's with the single cam have the internal coil?  Or was that just thrown on mine since it was in a 96 pickup?

You know, I would have thought that too, except 12valve is stamped right on my engine.  I have no clue why they didn't switch the trucks over sooner.  I think 98 is when they went to the ka24de in the frontier.  But 86-96 d21 hardbodys have the ka24e.  I think 97 was a split year though.

Anyway, does anyone know more about that confounded internal coil?
