Engine (not exhaust, not belt) driven aspiration

Digging up some most likely old news here but I came across an article in car an driver or something a while back about I think was a Mazda engine (vague memories) that was aspirated not by belt or exhaust pressure if my memorys correct it was propelled off the cam with a compressor housing on the timing case.I cant think of a solid keyword to type in on google an i wanna get sum stuff dug up on this Does anyone have any further info about this or am I just trippin out haha
