I was wondering..I have a s13 that does about 250 miles on a full tank, and I know thats pretty ****ty, but what am i suppose to be getting?

When it's warm and I drive mixed city and highway or all highway it returns 28mpg like clockwork. Driving around chicago in the winter is more like 24. A weekend at the track is like 20 (at lunch when there's open lapping at 50mph, which is pretty much 3rd gear for 30 minutes, you can literally watch the needle drop).

yeah, i realized this was the wrong section to post as soon as i had finished. I talked to a mechanic and he said i need to replace the airbox. So i figure getting an intake may cure this problem. Im thinking Injen. any ideas?

I get like 330-360 miles for a full tank, mixed with highway and local, but mostly highway and I have Injen intake, Apexi N1 Exhaust + Pulley.

i get 22/23 mpg on my '93 on 89 octane. i usually fill up when the light turns on, which is at about 13.5 gallons empty, leaving almost 2.5 gallons left in the tank. I get about 300 miles on that 13.5 gallons. Street driving on the weekdays, free way on the weekends.
