extended studs..no spacer?
whats up all
i had some 350z wheels i was gonna run with like a 20mm spacer so i bought a full set of 60mm extended studs.. but i got new wheels with much better fitment and im not going to run spacers anymore..so my ? is this would there be any real benefit to installing the extended studs without spacers...or is it just excessive/pointless... im thinking that regardless there should be more "clamping force" keeping the wheel on..probly an extra 3/4 inch of thread....with closed extended lugs. As open lugs would sorta be pointless... if i put the extended studs i was thinking muteki extended lugs.. or should i just sell the studs and keep the stock size with regular lugs..\? |

I got extended studs with open ended muteki lugs, I'd keep it if I were you. You could eventually need em in the future. You'd never know. Pretty much, if you ever need anything more than 6mm spacers, you'd need the extended studs.

So in my opinion, I'd sell them... but... Quote:
In your current situation though, pointless.

they are nismo 60mm....i doubt id ever want spacers...i got pretty decent size wheels on there now and im super happy how it sits.
so i guess ill sell them if there is no benefit...and then save some cash and get either local mcguard or muteki....sound good? |

If youre gonna be just like every typical Zilvia member, you'll be a wheel-a-holic, you'll atleast go thru 3 more set of wheels before you wreck the car. Atleast keep the fronts, just in case you get some wheels later down the road that doesnt clear the brake calipers (happens alot). |
