Trans Popping Out of Third Issue - Continued - Help Wanted

Hey guys, well I took my RB25 tranny apart and it was pretty damn clean. Here are a few things I did have some concern about.
So you know what I'm talking about please view the FSM exploded diagram:
Go to page 36 on the PDF file: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/pathfind...hfinder/mt.pdf and rotate 90-deg CW.

Look towards the bottom right of the schematic, and notice the 2nd part up, the "REVERSE CHECK SLEEVE CONTACT SURFACE TO STRIKING LEVER" then look to the next part to the left, the "STRIKING ARM" is where the shifter goes in. Anyways, the striking arm has a little paddle that is suppose to come in contact with the reverse check sleeve, however, it has worn down to the point that it doesn't even touch. This is probably not my issue with the 3rd gear popping out correct?

Now I examined the shifting fork, synchro, and 3rd gear, everything looks almost new. This could mean it almost has to be a check ball/spring. Anyone have a clue which one it might be?
I plan on checking the length of all the check springs, but I'm not convinced I'm going to be able to fix the problem.. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
