Green box underneath the dash.

I recently finished my 5 speed swap and in the process I found a green box that was bolted up where the clutch pedal had to go. I just unplugged and removed it in order to place the clutch pedal and I haven't noticed anything different or not working. What is it for and what does it do?

Also, there is a microswitch that engages when I press the gas pedal all the way down. I haven't noticed this on any other 240's. What does this do? Thanks.

Haha, no doubt. I'll see if I can put it back on. I just wanted to know what it did, that's all. And yes, I can pull the key out of the ignition no problem.

Auto kickdown switch and shift lock control module.

The FSM does actually tell you these things guys if you bother to read it.
