Help!!! Car Died Wtf

ok, have had car almost a month now, driving the gf home all, notice at a red light the idle's up to bout 1100 when it ussually sits @ 700-800rpm and was making a bit of noise, then bout 5 min later i had no power and then the car died out on me just before it died the oil light came on & then it wouldn't start, it sounded like the starter was struggling to turn the engine, any ideas???
