S14 SR20 into S13

hey guys, what has to be done to the wiring harness so a S14 SR can work with the S13 .

is it the same modifications that the S13 SR needs ? or is it a little bit different ?

basically what im asking is what needs to be done to the harness ?

Its completely different...

There are 2 wiring harnesses for the S14 SR, a Kouki harness and a Zenki harness. Make sure which motors first and then start doing it....

Then reask the question.

I am on the same boat too.
I am also doing a 97 s14 sr20 swap into a 89 s13 chassis.

Found this link

sweet ! that write up aint bad.
is there really that much difference between a zenki harness and a kouki harness ?

i mean same motor so same harness .. the only thing taht comes to mind between the difference here is again the dash connector ?
could anyone confirm that ?

Zenki and Kouki harnesses are quite different, the wiper wires are in the same place, but most of the other main items are not, i believe some of the wires are different in color code as well like speedo and... some of the ac stuff,

It is not a "little bit" different. It is a "big bit" different.

Do you want me to explain every single wire and connector to you?

Buy a stock engine harness. Buy a stock body harness and lower harness if yours is all chopped up. Send all 3 to someone who knows what they're doing and pay them as much money as they want.

I can do it for much less, but if you have to ask, you probably won't be able to learn how to do it correctly.

I would recommend getting this done by someone who knows what they are doing. I've seen even the most reputable shops screw these up.

I do freelance stuff for shops all the times. The technicians just don't have the time and patience to do wiring correctly.

definately invest in that how to video. it is a pain. the wiper relays, or whatever are in the sr harness, and they have to b deleted. My harness was different it seemed than the video, but same basic colors. take your time and do a lot of research!!!

all I can say is too bad your not in SC, I've done plenty of wiring, and only been asked once to wire an S14 SR into an S13, it was a bit more labor intensive than a SR20 into an S13, but not too bad. GL.
