Cliffs: Guy on supraforums makes a filter cover for his K&N filter out of a beanie and shoelace from walmart.

I was shopping around for a nice filter cover and was pissed at the prices nowadays.

So I went to walmart... and spent 2 dollars on a beanie and a shoelace...

I cut a small slit at the bottom and ran the shoestring through, slipped it over the filter, tied the shoestring and cut/tucked the rest of the lace, and walaah...

Why would you put a filter cover over a filter? Isnt the filter whats supposed to keep the particles out? Its kind of like restricting the point of an intake filter..

i live a dirt area/unpaved driveway so i know where the guy is coming from,.. but i wouldnt result to having to do this. Some of you guys will never understand til you actually go thru that situation. Sometimes your family moves somewhere, and you have to make changes to your vehicle just to get by.

I think that's a lil extreme of a filter cover for a filter. Probably better off having a panty hoe covering your filter, thats what I did to my yfz k&n filter.
