![]() Well the problem started right after I had finished installing my new downpipe on my car and started it up. I had found holes in the intercooler piping that I got welded, but sealed them all up and pressurized it again and its all sealed up. But when I start the car up its all fine and perfect vacuum but once it warms up to 59 degrees celcius it starts to bogg up and down constantly and the vacuum goes from -19.5 psi down to -14psi on my boost gauge and holds right there. When I rev it up and let off the gas, the idle goes all the way down and back up and back down and finally dying. It is running super rich as well 9.0-9.1 afr. I don't think I have a boost leak anywhere because I pressurized just about everything but going to double check later today.
Has anyone had this problem before? What could be the problem? thanks |

well I got it to stop bogging up and down when it warms up but now its running really rich and whenever I tap the gas at all, it starts to idle up and down up and down and eventually dies, I tried turning the injectors down and that helped a little but the afr's are going up and down and not staying steady at idle from 11 up to 15 and 16 and back down and sometimes it would stay steady but go back to it after a little while

a greddy rs one, and yes all vacuums are finally fixed, I found like five in all and the psi stays at -19.5 now. I tried tightening the bolt but it still did the same thing and the afr still keeps fluctuating. I am going to check the o2 sensor tomorrow morning to see if that might have crapped out on me because it did rain a good bit here and my hood is raise and that plug is right there where its open. I really want to recirculate the bov though that way I wont have problems like that.

I had fixed the problem and it turned out to be a really easy fix. I had the maf sensor too close to the turbo inlet and when I moved it further, it fixed the problem instantly. I need to move it a little bit further away. I didn't know the location of the maf had mattered that much.
thanks for the help. |
