doch swap cranks but not starting

finished swapping the major parts and found that the wiring was correct. Even fixed the wire that tricks the car that its in park. But everytime I try to start my car, it just cranks but won't fully turn on.

Could it be the distributor?
*I was told and read that it had to cylinder one had to be compatible to #7 etc. but there is a spark
*Was also told that when taking off distributor that I should reset the timing, is that correct?

Other choices are the timing being off/fuel injectors being clogged. Will try those options today... but any word of advice would be a great. thanks guys.
