Sr runs crappy under load...revs perfect in neutral LOL
Exactly what it says... My Sr in the garage runs great idles nice revs fast and smooth. When I leave the garage and go to the road its a different story. Under load, it spits kicks and sputters. Thought possible vaccuum leak but cant really find anything. Maybe a fuel problem? Have 255lph pump. Hks ssqv. stock IC. Also using all emission control items such as carbon canister, AIV, etc. Please help me! Need car soon!
Thanks to everyone that can help, in advance! Dan

OK so the problem was a ground. But when I punch it the turbo screams like it is boosting but the power just isn't there. The hks ssqv let's out pressure fine when I let off, but again it feels like the engine is choking or something the power just doesn't egual the sound the engine, turbo , bov make though. Any ideas? I am checking all piping in the morning I think maybe some hoses aren't tight enough.

What does your boost gauge tell you?
If you dont have one...now would be a good time to invest. There are many things it COULD be.....could be bad plugs, coilpacks, ignitor chip, MAFS wigging out, bad ground, fuel pump dying, bad FPR.......its gonna be a process of elimination. try to distinguish whether you problem is fuel or spark related.....that helps narrowing it down. Who knows, it could be as simple as a hose clamp loose....or maybe a hose w/ a crack tht is not noticeable but only cracks open under load. |
