Hi,

I have a problem on how to properly remove tie rod end links on my car. The bottom 2 pictures are what i have done so far, removed the top bolt, and loosed another( u can see in the picture).
Can you guys please help me out here, i'm thinking to use a hammer to knock the endlinks out....but i'm afraid i'll mess it up.

i used a hammer after turning the castle nut upside down. if you're replacing them, it's not an issue. Ideally, you'd use a ball joint/tie rod separator tool.

two ways to do it. One way: with the car up on jack stands, stick the jack or another stand under the control arm to keep it from moving, then knock the hell out of the bolt with your BFH (Big f***in Hammer) until it pops out. Or do all of the above except istead of hitting the stud use a tool called a ball joint remover or pickle fork. you hit it with a hammer to wedge it between the joint and the spindle to force the joint to release.

Take castle nut off, barely thread castle nut back on upside down, go to town. The tie rod won't fly off that way and you won't damage the threads if you ever do reuse the tie rod. Taht and the bottom of hte castle nut is pretty indestructable
