RB25 Tuning Question.

Alright i'm a new guy to the Nissan platform. I'm looking to get an RB25DET 240sx. There is one close to where I live. The guy said he has a ROM tune + SAFC. I thought this was a one or the other type deal. I know subaru's used a tunable access port off of Cobb but I am unfamiliar with Nissan? Also I read that the SAFC tricks the ECU and doesn't actually reprogram it.

So basically...

-can you have both?
-Are there any cons to this?
-Are there any pros to this?
-Is the SAFC bad for the engine?

what computer is in the car that its got a rom tune... Chipping of the rb25 ecu is not worth the hassle (or price).

Generally the "rom tuned" rb25 cars are done with a Z32 ecu.

I have personally done 11 of these - 2 in R33 gtst skylines (both are also from PA) - the others are all done in 240sx.

I think you need to ask more questions to the seller.
