RB25 temp gauge not working!!

Hey guys I have a wiring specialist harness for my RB that's in a 90 hatch. I can't seem to get the coolant temp gauge to work. I've even put a ka temp sensor in and still nothing. I've checked my wiring for the dash plug and all seems good. So is there a way that I could run a wire straight from the sensor to the gauge and see if I can get it to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see why you couldn't try that. I assume its the one in your dash? I would grab a pin layout and see which one you have to tap into. Run a dedicated wire from the pin to the sensor. If it starts working, you have got your answer. I personally would do an aftermarket. You're working with a 22 year old cluster. Im in the same boat. Good luck.
