Nismo key: Convert from 10pt key to 8pt?
Whilst traveling for business I stopped into a dealership to get a spare key made up for my Xterra. While he was cutting the copy I happened to glance over in the display case and found six uncut NIB 10pt Nismo keys. They didn't have any 8pt key's but I purchased all of the 10pt's as I've heard they can be converted.
Has anyone modified a 10pt key to work with the earlier 8pt lock cylinders? I just thought I'd ask here before I go out and mess one up. Thanks and let me know ![]() Oh, and I couldn't resist, I had to have one cut for the Xterra ![]() ![]()

Just take it to the locksmith. They should be able to do it. If not, measure and trim the length off carefully with a grinder and match your angles. Should be fine.
