Lose whp going from open diff to vlsd?
I don't know much about the mechanics of a car but this is what a friend told me and he's been wrong before lol.
1. My diff is closest to the left rear tire so that is where most of the engines power gets sent and that's why it's always the tire that loses traction first. 2. Installing a vlsd will increase drivetrain loss which will cause me to lose some wheel horsepower. If this is true how bad is it? I have a vlsd sitting in my garage waiting to go in. I'm right on the edge of traction on my left rear tire in 2nd gear and stock rims/tires but still not spinning yet, if I'm going to lose WHP putting the lsd in then I think I'll wait until 2nd gear traction is more of a problem..
