Someone tell me something about a USED, 100K PLUS mileage KADE24e/DE motor that magically makes it somehow worth more than a couple hundred bucks.

Common people.....just because you are selling your 120k+ motor does not somehow mean you are allowed to recover a third of your swap costs. You're not even selling the freaking harness with the motor....GODAMN.

Tell you what, go to the junkyard and IF they have that KA for you, ask them what they will charge for that same 100-120k engine... How much are you honestly expecting to get it for? I know that I personally got a KA24DE and tranny for 400.00 and later found that there was an ACT stage 2 attached to it, made the 400 worth it. My situation was favorable compared to what most people will likely pay, and the clutch damn near made the engine free comepared to what it would have been had I bought the thing elsewhere.

Its all relative. Some people will sell them dirt cheap, others wont. But the people who try to sell them a little on the expensive side wont have much luck getting rid of it.

you can get a 30k mile engine for like $500 if you shop around with junk yards. I got a 37k mile motor for $650.

Economics my friend. You don't want to spend that much on an engine, don't. Somebody else might. . . It's how the system works :P It's also why used SR pricing has skyrocketed in recent years :P

Head and Blocks only.

Some people are selling it to make up for getting an SR.

I got mine for free with cut wiring harness from a guy that swapped SR20, but mine is 190k.

im looking for a second ka for a turbo build and ill say right now that im not paying more than $250 for it.

i laugh when i see ebay auctions and threads with people selling KA's for $1000+

what kind of idiot is going to pay that much?

well unfortunatly some idiot will pay that much. if you could get as much money as you could from selling a motor you dont even want, wouldnt you jack it up too? people have already asked me for mine and thrown me some crazy figures that i cant believe. too bad im still going to use it in a commuter, hahaha.

Damn Mike13, If I was back in PA right now I'ed probably just give you my KA. I'm only asking 250 for everything right now, Harness, tranny, DS, ECU, ECT everything. and I am having a hard time doing that. Oh well, I will be out of Cali soon enough and back in the good old Western PA.

I sold both of mine for $150. They just take up space if you ask me. At first I was holding out for more then I realized that I wasn't going to get it so I just decided to sell them dirt cheap.

I may have another KA coming soon so I will offer that up for a cheap price also
