'tapping' into charge pipes

I need to take a vac line from my intercooler hot pipe for my boost control solenoid.

what the best way to get a vac pipe friendly fitting installed? prefferably without welding.

would one of these be ok? would it make a good seal?

This is the smallest i can seem to find which is 6.4mm, but if im not mistaken the vac tubing for the solenoid is 3mm

any thought?

^Yes, that'd be the best bet. Most likely your hot pipe is at most 1/16" and that's just not enough room for threads. The BEST thing would be welding, however.

another solution if your using stock turbo is to tap the 3 bolt turbo outlet, therefore you can have enough threads.

Yes I have done this a few times. Use JB weld not much on the fitting threads. Drill a hole about the same size as the nipple screw end. And put JB weld on it and thread it into your hot pipe the closer to the turbo the better response u will have
