I have been driving around for 6 months without a passanger sholder belt because Nissan said I have to get the whole motor/track ass. They said $350.00 fucking basterds. Is there somewhere that this is in wrighting so I can go back and yell at them.

Actually doodsan, I went through this already.

They are required by law to fix the belts. The actual cloth belts. If the motors on the auto belts are damaged (read: moving parts) they don't have to fix it for free.

I called, emailed and faxed Corporate Nissan after a local dealer flat-out refused to service my belts and I got the same answer each time.

Sucks but oh well. I eventually fixed mine by replacing it.

actually the motor and everything is under a lifetime warrenty i am getting my passender seatbelt fixed on friday the same thing happend. it just stopped working. i brought it to the dealer and they made an appointment fo rme and i am getting it fixed, free.
i have the original warrenty 240sx nissan book and it states in the book that the seatbelts and everything to make them work are under warrenty. i did have to go to two or three dealers befor i got one to agree to this, but im am getting it done.

if worse comes to worse and they wont do it there is a little hole on the panal that the motor is behing and if you pop the cover off the hole you can key to move the seat belt track all the way to the up position so at least you can clip the seat belt on to you in the up position.

If Nissan wont fix it try and source some belts, and trim from canada as they didnt have the automatic crap. Or take the belts out of a wrecked s14. Thats what I will probly do if Nissan wont fix mine.
