Ka24e<->Ka24de question.

Ok my 89 240 hatch is a single cam. i blew the bottom end and went out and bought a twin cam full motor. my question is can i put my single cam head on the twin cam block and drop it in and go?? cuz i dont want to do all the BS in making the car twin cam from single cam.

its not bolt-on. its possible but it would take more work than just dropping in the twin cam engine. unless ur one bad ass machinist.

so short answer NO.

first off, the power steering setup needs to be swapped to the other side, cuz there would be no clearance, as for the ac, im not sure, or you could just go, without and drop in and go, but if you NEED luxuries then, you gonna have some fabbing to do. i think this has already been covered, whatever.

Personally i would rebuild the ka-E and turbo kit, plenty torquey

you also need to state if you bought a s13 ka24de or a s14 ka24de, as then you might have obd1/2 problems

You would want a de block from a frontier truck in order to swap the SOHC head. Don't no why you would want to do that since sohc heads lower compression on dohc pistons and block.
Any other questions you can reach devious KA at NICO he has all the answers you need.
