5 speed s14 swap help
well i messed up the motor too but got a manual trans and a motor, so im droppin both in
![]() are crank position sensors different from auto to manual? what speed sensor do i use? ![]() By kaaoszx, shot with Canon PowerShot SD1000 at 2008-07-04 ![]() By kaaoszx, shot with Canon PowerShot SD1000 at 2008-07-04 total of 3 holes what all can i remove from havin the auto trans? also the vaccuum from under the throttle body right in front of the throttle body.i dont know where that vaccuum line goes. |

did a little search and found this it should help but all those holes are for sensors which are a bit pricey brand new and remember you need a s14 vss to make the speed work

Just replace them with your own sensors that are already on the tranny.
You need the speed sensor that is specific to the car/engine... like s14 in an s14. or dual cam speed sensor in a dual cam s13. Although, I could be wrong and all dual cams could be the same. CPS should be the same.

CPS is the same. Those holes are for neutral, 5th gear, and reverse switches, not needed unless you're going to hardwire them in, just buy pipe plugs to cap them off.

They simply tell the ECU gear position. The 5th gear switch is used for the fuel cut, the neutral just relays that the transmission is in neutral, and therefore under no load if the engine revs.
