NRG Quick release issue

How u guys doing. Wanted to start off by saying that google did not have the answer. I started having issues with my QR, it was getting a bit difficult to take it off. Now it doesn't want to come off. I tried pulling the lever while pushing the tab as hard as i could but no luck, it's like is stuck there for good. Any of you guys experience a similar issue? It's a Gen 2.0. Thanks in advance for the feedback

There should be a little allen bolt on the side. Try loosening that up and see if that helps.

I have a NRG gen 2.5 that initially worked great, but is now doing the same thing...

There is a small silver "Push Detent" on the top of the QR. When you pull forward to release the wheel, it's suppose to push it down. For what ever reason after a while it just gets caught on the detent. You must push the detent down and pull forward at the same time and it should pop off! (Whatch your fingers!)

Hoped that helped!

So you are pulling on the release while simultaneously pushing down on the silver little button, correct?

If you are, while pulling on the release and pushing down the button, try pushing the whole steering wheel firmly forward, into the steering column to see if that helps relieve anything that has binded. Sounds like the release mechanism has binded up or something..

You may also try to get some WD40 and a rag, and spray some down into the release mechanism while using a rag to cover the stuff you don't want WD40 all over..

Yeah as I push the tap down and pull the ring towards me to release , it doesn't even move. Its just stuck back I can spin the ring around but just won't move towards me. I'll try the method of pushing the steering wheel forward and then back. I might need someone to help me out to pry it off as a last resort

Does NRG have anything listed as far as regular maintenance or FAQ? Did you call them yet?

Update:::::

I took it to NRG and it turns out that the QR system that I had was a part of a very small batch or a possible counterfeit . They handle the situation really well and helped me take it off and install a brand new one ( upgraded ) gen 3. Way easier to take off with the batman logo design. It's great.
