Today was the FOB Salerno DFAC special. Nothing spectacular, just better than what we usually have.

We do Thanksgiving in my family like we do Sunday dinners, everyone brings something.

Two turkeys, one smoked and one fried. Smoked from my mom, fried was bought from someone in town doing them.
Baked stuffing, baked mac and cheese, rice and gravy.
Um... Scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, the normal cranberry relish, sausage balls, fried chicken wings. deviled eggs, spring rolls, chips and cheese dip. All of that was there when I got there.
What I brought with me was meatballs made of ground turkey and turkey sausage in a cheese sauce I made.

It was all quite the spread but we always have a pretty large turnout, like 15-20 people. We always have a blast, and will be eating on leftovers clear through Sunday dinner.

My fam keeps it super traditional. Mashed turnips are the only thing that write do that most people don't. But that's because it's super old school
