For that price tag i'd buy a LFA or something i can drive on the road.
Not saying i don't like a GTR i'd rather buy a used 2010 model for 60-70k and drop 100k and have equal to more power
then again i don't have 60k regardless so i'll stick to my broke ass bucket lol

My point was more or less spending a half million on a track only car. Personally i'd want something to be able to drive whenever i wanted on/off track. Then again if i had the money for that i probably wouldn't care that i could only drive it once in a while.
The cars dope don't get me wrong if i had enough money to buy a half million track only car maybe i could see it but personally i'd wana drive it on the street lol.
and thanks i know it takes more than Hp to make a good track car

I agree for 450k or whatever its priced at there's other cars that I would spend my money on if I could just choose one to have. But I'm sure the people that buy these won't be worried about just choosing one car to buy majority of these will probably be bought by racing teams anyways.

If you have enough to buy, maintain, and drive the damn thing you have enough money to pay for a good lawyer to get you out of trouble should you get pulled over driving it on the street.

dude you don't quite understand it still. You are basing it off your lower class life style. If you had that kind of money to spend on a track only car you wouldn't give a fuck about road cars because you would have plenty of other cars for that purpose. Maybe a regular gtr built to your personal taste. This is not just something to "have" lol.

I remember at the track the owner of Stop Tech was in the pit right next to us and was telling us about the new 2012 GT3 Cup Car they bought and how amazing it was stock. vs the 2010 they had already invested lots of money into. It had air jacks built in too, i thought that would be standard with any race car?

Anyway this car screams hours of time I spent playing gran turismo and it reminds me of why i like cars.

You guys are all idiots. The car is built to be a turnkey FIA GT3 racecar. Most of you would wreck this car before you got through T1.

Yes, it has airjack's because all modern GT race cars run air...

Personally, I see this not being a very successful business idea for the Nissan/Nismo motorsports program. Personally, I would much rather buy a GT3 RSR, as you have Porsche North America who treats each and every customer like gold. (unless you owe them money)

Thank you for this comment. Many of these so called drift kids have no understanding of what is involved in making a proper racing car. The hours spent in development of suspension pick-up points is greater than most have spent building their entire car.

The GTR GT3 isn't a car you just go outside, fire up and drive around. It involves having a tune made each and every time it is run, suspension tuning every time it is run, gets torn down after every event and the cost to keep up with it is more then your mommy and daddy's house...

This is so far from a car that can be driven on the street it isn't even funny.

Bottom line, the GTR GT3 is a badass piece of machinery. I would kill to drive 10 laps in one. The sensation, the sound, the way the brakes never fade, it just cannot be reproduced by a factory equivalent. And as for the DICK measuring contest over price tags...... the guy who can afford to pay $500K on a non street legal race car simply to park it in his garage for his enjoyment has a much bigger one than the guy buying one he can get some use out of.

Case in point a otolaryngologist (neck surgeon) friend has a real LeMans GT40 Ford sitting in one of his garages. Street Legal? Hell no. Net Value? Over $1M. Why not buy several cars? Because he has passion for racing and history. I would take it over a Bugatti any day.

10 laps would be overkill for me. I'd be satisfied with driving it around the first turn.
