What is the thread pitch of the exhaust studs on KA24DE
I need to buy Heli coils for my exhaust studs on my KA single overhead cam motor and don't know what size to buy. I need help/info quick as I am doing the work tomorrow!
This is only a temporary fix for a last drift event before I swap in my SR motor sitting in the garage. Thanks |

take your manifold off... and double nut one of your studs to pull it out. Then take it to a local rerpair garage, more then likely they will have a tap and die set which comes with thread pitch identifier guages. If your not familiar with double nutting, its easy. Put one nut one far enough down the threads to be able to put another nut on, when you get them both on there, tighten them together against each other, then turn one of them like you are trying to remove it, and the stud will come out.
