Omg that looks like +$30,000 worth of stuff. I'm extremely sorry to hear about that. I don't think anyone can get away with that many performance products unless they open up another shop in the area. It wasn't a robbery it was a fucking heist.

Yea it really sux and some people really sux. Heres some more info for you guys/girls.

from JGY Website
……a note from Jason

I would like to take some time to explain what has happened to JGYCustoms, Inc. on Friday night, 3-12-04/ Saturday morning, 3-13-04. It is quite a horrible thing. The company was broken into and merchandise/tools/literature/motors were stolen. Some of the items are impossible to replace or put a price on. We will never find out all that they took. So far, we have a list hovering around $80,000 and growing. Thankfully, we are insured, but that never helps you fully recoup.

I want all our customers to know that we are physically fine and JGYCustoms, Inc. is still a driving force. We are restocking our inventory, accepting orders, working on vehicles, shipping items, and receiving new shipments daily. Thankfully, there was minimal vandalizing that occurred.

You can never stop a group from breaking in. You have to expect it to happen, especially in this business. What you don’t expect is what happened. The thieves were able to cut a hole in our wall to gain access. From there, they seemed to take their time and take what they seemed to be of most value to them. I never expected this kind of theft. I blame myself for not having motion sensors/cameras with direct contact to the police. I want to express my deepest apologies to all our customers that will suffer for this in delay for replacing their parts. Additionally, this will never happen again. We now have someone here 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week until the new alarm system is finished being installed. I am sparing no expense.

We have discussed our situation with many of our vendors. They are more than willing to work with us to try to speed up production times, delivery times, and forecast schedules. I greatly thank them for that. Hopefully, we can put this behind us quicker than expected.

If some of the merchandise that was needed to complete your project/order was taken, we will be contacting you and explaining the circumstances.

I hope that the criminal investigators find the merchandise and tools, as this will help so many people. I really don’t care if they find the robbers………..just the stuff.

Our customers are hurt more by this than anyone. I am so sorry for those of you that have waited for custom parts, tuned ECU’s, special orders, only to have them stolen after they have arrived. Additionally, motor work, transmission work, and turbo work will be slightly delayed as we try to replace our tools and custom units that we used to perform the services, as most were stolen. I blame myself and will do my best to diminish your delays as best as I can. I am very sorry for all of this.

Please feel free to contact us. We are open our normal hours. New items are arriving daily.

Sincerely,
Jason Garrett Young

From JGY on Sr20forums
What bothers me the most about this is how evil the people are that did it. They obviously know/knew what they are doing. If you look at how they took ALL the JWT ecus, but let the stock ones, things like that.

Why in their minds did they not realize all the pain that they are causing our community? A fair percentage of you guys out their got hurt by this. I also have a feeling it is an affiliation with a competing shop or something..........I mean, all 7 of our Hotshot intercooler kits? all 10 of the RWD Greddy turbo kits
Hell, all we sell is basically for like 5 different chassis....

What I am askiing of you guys, and I realize that I may not have the fair right to ask this of you.........is please, let's start being very inquisitive about why something is for sale and why it is priced the way it is....
Alot of the components stolen are mostly sold thru us. JGYBB37R, JGY rails, etc... let's at least make it hard for them to profit from this

Jeeze, this sounds like more thatn just a robbery.

It almost sounds like somebody is trying to put you out of business. Are there any other shops in the area that are on bad terms with you guys? Any customers who have a grudge against you guys? It really sounds like whoever perpitrated this was out to hurt you guys more than they were trying to benefit themselves.

or anyone could report it to me, since i work there.... Just to let everyone know, we're okay, and we're still open for business. we're receiving stuff by the day, so anything you guys need/want/have ordered is on its way. We appreciate everything everyone is doing for us. For most of you who do not know, we do have very competitive prices. So check us out at JGY Customs.com And on that note, we do have some new tranny mounts for the SR. They're stiffer than the Nismo tranny mount, and they're pretty well made for drifting. Thanks for everyone's support.

You guys should have camaras put up in the shop?? Thats my worry if I was to open up a shop, is that since the car scene is blowing up more then ever, and with the boom of the drift scene, there is bound to be dumbfucks out there that will cheat in every way they can. Or if you could, have a big ass dog live there. lol

thats fucked up yo. When some ass broke into my car with a rock to steal my stuff, i felt violated. The money wasn't and issue and i got everything replaced in short time. BUT its psychological, it makes me feel some 300 pound guy in a wife beater just bent me over and owned me. I felt like wanting to grab a bat and hitting something.

I'm really glad that they're not going to let this get them down and continue the good work full speed ahead. When its something like this, the moment you quit, or say its not worth it to go on, they have really won.

I believe in kharma, bad things will happen to bad people. As much as drifting has gotten this community blown out of porportions, its still tight. These fools better watch their backs. Its not one set of rims or a couple of ecu's they're trying to get rid of. Its $80,000 of shit.

whatever toolbag.... read one of the first ten posts... same thing here. Just not as much. For you to say that its a complete impossibility is ignorant. Just as if I was to say that it was absolutely, unequivocally, an inside job.

JWT ECU's and stuff like JGY BB turbos aren't common items, so some of that stuff will be pretty easy to spot if it pops up on any message boards or auction sites. just keep an eye out for stuff like this, even if it's at a pretty much normal price let alone a "too good to be true" type of price. if there's one thing i hate in this world it's thieves;(

SR motor set/clip $2500+, FMIC kit $700+, Downpipe $100+, 3" exhaust $500+, Misc install parts $100+, Shop labor for install $1000+ and you still only make 220rwhp for $5000
so what's so CHEAP about the SR swap again?

I saw this a few days ago and have to agree with everyone that is definatly sucks. One of the local shopd here got hit pretty hard last summer. The thieves even used customers cars to drive off with the stuff. They did catch the them though, they left one fingerprint in one of the cars they recovered and it was enough to find them all and all the stuff that was left!! Hope that happens here too!

Not sure that its a good idea to post the info that the serial numbers are there even if they scratch them off the outside. Might let someone onto that info that they didnt know before......
