Questions about a Canadian spec '95 240SX LE - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Since my search for a S13 resulted in failure, I'm now looking for a S14. We found a '95 240SX LE that's fully loaded with abs, leather, sunroof, 5-spd, etc...it has 120k kms ( 75k mi) and the asking price is $13k CDN ($8k USD). I'm pretty sure we can bring it down to about $10K CDN ($6.25k USD).

Anyway, do you guys think its a good deal?? 120,000km sounds like a lot. How long will the car last?

Also would a fully loaded 240SX LE come with VLSD??? Anyway I can check, apart from lifting the rear end and rotating the wheels?

there's no way in #### itll drop to 10K canadian.  you'll be lucky to get it for 12K.  s14s are really popular here, and yes, it will likely have lsd

I dunno...120K km seems a little too high. How long do you think the car would last? Also, are you positively sure all LEs had VLSD???

if it has abs it has lsd..... and with 120000 km thats nothing these engines will last forever...... but thats if it has been properly maintained.... has it?

Has a 100% chance of having LSD. . it's Canadian. . ALL of them have LSD in Canada. .

Sounds like a good deal to me. . where do u live at?

I'm in Toronto.

The engine may last foreever, but what about the accesories? Stuff like fuel pump, injectors, tranny, diff, a/c, etc..??

So ALL 240SX had VLSD, not just the 240SX SE models?

Well. . my S13 (Canadian at that lol) had no problems other than the usual. . the timing chain  I never bothered to fix. . but anyway. . at 140k (est) miles (the odo stopped at 114,052) hehe. . I had zero problems other than that timing chain rattle. . which is normal. .  all the bulbs worked in the car, had original clutch, climate control worked perfectly. . I dunno. . the car felt new, other than the timing chain rattle and poor paint hehe
