Wheels on turbo

if the wheel is hard to spin, what does that mean?

does it just need some oil and its good to go, or what?

there isnt shaft play b/t/w

might just mean that the oil has caked up in the bearings from sitting for an extended period of time.... tried cleaning it out at all?

this is on a T25... im trying to figure out if i should buy it, it came off of a S13 Blacktop with like 30K on it, the guy who has the S13 blacktop swapped out the turbo when he swapped in the motor for a GT series or something like that.

He says there isnt shaft play, and the wheel spins, but not freely. I guess T25's have journal bearings?

How can i ran oil through it off of a car?

How can I clean it?

A T25 is pretty nice for what im looking for ... about 250RWHP, its gonna be about $60 or so. I also found another T25 with an HKS actuator for $115 shipped, but the guy doesnt know how many miles are on it, and he says there is near 0 shaft play. So idk... I think it might just need oil ran through it... what do u guys think?

I had the exact same thing you are talking about. There was a lot of black oil inside the turbo in my sr, and there was no play at all, but it just didnt spin freely. I still put it in n e ways, car still pulls pretty hard from my opinion, but my friend who also has an sr says its not pulling as hard as it should so i dunno. All i can say is it still pulls..lol and no black smoke or anything is comming from the exhaust, but there is some really black oil thats been leaking out of my sidemount. I think it was just the left over oil that was inside the turbo cuz i wouldnt think there would be any reason that the oil i just put in would turn black like that.
