power window will not move up or down

Yesterday I get in the car and back out of the garage. ( my drivers window is about halfway up) I push the up button and the window goes up like an inch then stops, so I push the down button and it goes down about 2 inches then stops and now it will not move at all. i took off the door panel, and i can hear the little black box clicking as i push the button. i can roll down my passenger side window just fine. checked the fuse and its good. any ideas ? thanks.

edit : s13 , sorry forgot to mention that.

Could just be a bad switch or relay. Could be something in the motor. However, I am not certain it would be the motor since it doesn't load down & pop the fuse.

1. Open up the Switch

2. Grave Soldering Gun

3. Fix any solder joints that might be bad

You could check it by testing the motor.
Give it 12v and ground on the connector to the window motor.
If it works, most likely your problem is with the switch.

Ima blame the amp.
push the plug into the amp with a little force and try again. Sometimes those connections just suck.

you can also just supply Positive and Negative directly to the motor plug if you NEED to get it up for weather/theft reasons

You sure the cables didn't bind up or snap on the regulator? That's what happened to both of mine

I checked the amp. I tested the wires and the motor was getting power. Took the whole assembly out and tested the motor. Nothing. Took the motor apart and it's shot.
