255 lph = 59 Gallons per hour (gph)
This pump is rated at 50gph.
Walbro is already better than this pump especially if you are going to be adding boost.

get the walbro. even a used one

If you want a better pump than Walbro that is amazing and invincible and still an in tank pump you should go with the Denso 295/Lt/Hr a bit more expensive but the last in tank pump you will ever need!

unless you're going for high horsepower there isn't much need to do anything bigger then a Walbro 255. if you want something in the 300+LPH area it's hard to beat the new AEM 300lph fuel pump those are the same size as walbros 255 and flows 300+lph and is $100

I have one of these on my KA-T... they rock and aren't loud at all. With the fuel pump bracket and some splicing it will drop right in

For like $20 more you can get the AEM 320lph. Better quality, quieter and more reliable.

Bumping this to let people know this is *NOT* a normal Walboro 255. It says Walboro, and is spec'd to the same flow rate, but it's made different. No telling how long mine will last. The local Advanced Auto had one in stock for $60, and with some coupons I also got some other supplies (towels, dialectric grease, some electronics cleaner, etc) for a grand total of $50. I needed a pump asap, so I jumped on it.

Whenever it loads the fuel rail when I start the car it sounds like a spaceship lol. I'm kind of sketched but it's working for me so far.

Mine Aeromotive 340 failed after 3-4months, sent it back to Aeromotive which has awesome customer service they said it was fine. Returned it they said it's probably due to it's an S14 model pump forget the number install in a R34. Failed under load built up pressure slow(Hard to start) . Swapped to a SARD 275 IIRC smaller but this is my new standard. Figured i'd try my Aeromotive in the S14 I brought a couple months later same issues. Trashed the pump brought another SARD. Only negative about SARD is the price.

Had a Walbro in the states worked great as well.

I heard a lot of stories of Walbro 255 dying from overheating if you drive around with less than half tank of gas often. But then again maybe there are a lot of stories because it is the most popular fuel pump out there.

I myself running a second hand Walbro 255, 2 years no problems so far. But it is pretty loud. Feel cool when I remote start the car, it's like I'm launching a rocket.

Couldn't believe the price until I check it myself, killer deal. I don't know why aren't they more popular?

Ive ran my walbro for 3 years now, and i have had it below the 1/4 tank plenty of times. the trick is to be easy on it when its low on fuel so youre not putting extra strain on the pump since it lubricates and cools itself using the fuel

Mine sounds like that most of the time. Today though it was like "Wooooooooooooo! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" Scared the hell out of me. Thought there was someone behind my car about to rape me.

Well the Aeromotive rep said out of all the 340's they sold they only seen 1-2 failures. I can't knock the Customer Service as it was hands down the best I've seen with an American company. Tested and even send me a vid via youtube of the test. Obviously they can't duplicate the same grip without the car. Since they never list Skylines as compatible they just defaulted to it wasn't designed for the car. 2 problems, it worked before, and once replaced with the SARD car worked flawless after, so the pump was the problem. Later reverified with the issues came back in the Silvia. If the pump goes bad in an S-Chassis they have no leg to stand on and your probably get some resolution.

I will not by another Aeromotive pump, however my friend brought a 340 and hasn't had issues.

I bought my S14 9 years ago and have went from 305 at the wheels to 460whp, built motor, bigger turbo...blah blah......I have had my Walbro 255 the entire time. It is kind of noisy but has never failed me. Now that I am going for 500 or so I am looking into a bigger pump but just letting ya'll know that my pump has been there for me the whole way.

I always stray far away from the 70-90 dollar 255 Walbros....

With that said, I'd buy one of them before any Airtex pump product. Number one return fix item at our shop? Redoing an airtex fuel pump.
