Building a S-Chassis harness from scratch on my s13. The Ecu requires a cold start wire, 12v.(orange wire from dash harness) Would anyone know how to go about's wiring this.
Does this need a 12v when the car is on, or is it timed. Lets say when car gets warm the 12v signal drops to 0v.
If it is timed, what could i wire it to?

Just went in and tested my stock 240sx. Orange wire from the brown plug in the interior, cold start wire, gets 12 volts only when its turning over. So i will connect it to my starter signal.

Props for taking it into your own hands, hopefully I remember this when I get around to wiring my chassis this winter.
