Steering rack boot torn...replace tie rods?
Ok my steering rack boot on the passenger side is torn. I'm not sure how long but I'm sure it's been long enough to ruin the inner tie rod. I was just going to replace the boot, but that would be stupid so I think I'm going to replace the inner tie rod, but I have a few questions:
1.) With the boot being torn would anything else except the inner tie rod be damaged 2.) And when i replace it, is it ok to replace just one side or would I have to go with both... appreciate all the help |

look for corrosion and stuff, if it looks clean and you don't notice anything else blatantly wrong then replace and forget it. But since you are gonna be down there anyways you should replace both sides and look into some beefier tie rods (like teins, turning radius yay).
