Sr random plugs? Vaccum?
I bought a wiring specialties wiring harness for my car. Redtop into a 91 240. I am almost done with the swap but I have a few random plugs I can't find a place to plug into. The little booklet they gave me doesn't say anything about them and I just can't find what they are. I'd hate to fire up the car to have it explode because something wasn't hooked up right. My last swap I did the harness myself and had no spare plugs, so I'm a bit confused. Imgur gallery for the plugs below.
Also, the tube that connects to my factory oil catch can, I have a T coming out of the valve cover, one goes to the can, other is cut. I've seen some pictures where people just stick a little air filter on it and call it good. Others say to put it on the intake. I don't have any bungs or anything, I just wanna make sure I can stick a little air filter on it. What does it do? Vaccum!! I've read a lot of vaccum threads and I'm still confused. Seems people have their vaccum going EVERYWHERE. I just wanna make 100% certain. Top left nipple on TB goes to my FPR and I have it T'd for my EBC. People say not to T it but the booklet for my greddy oled EBC says to T that line. Then the top right goes to bov. Bottom goes to wastegate and T's for boost solonoid. I have read that works, I've also read you should cap bottom and use put wastegate on hot pipe. I don't have any spare bungs or anything on my hot pipe so... My biggest source of confusion is the bottom nippe is the same size as my BOV, even though I've read to use the top right nipple for bov. Then my WG nipple is same size as top right nipple but people say to use that for bov and the bottom for WG? Do I need to get 2 resizers and stuff? Unfortunantly, I won't be able to drive for 2 months. Stupid work out of town. I was hoping to get it going this week but we ran into problem after problem! Oh man it's killin me waiting D:!!! Send an email or call W.S., the will be able to help you with the random plugs. the first ones look to be part of the lower transmission harness. i dont have a WS harness personally, but from the pics i have seen, i believe they incorporate ECU harness and Lower/Tranny harness together.
for the V/C T, stock setup is as follows, one side of the Tee goes to the stock catch can, then to the drain on the block. The other side goes to the Stock intake tube. For the vacuum nipples on the T/B. The Two top one are AFTER the Throttle Plate, meaning they are seeing Manifold pressure, so either will work for BOV/FPR/EBC. The bottom one is BEFORE the Throttle Plate, so technically it is the exact same thing as welding a fitting on your hot pipe. use this for W/G. Size difference is because in stock form that goes to the carbon canister and the W/G get signal from the stock intercooler piping

Yeah, some of those are lower harness plugs that should plug in by the fusebox and then a speed sensor plug as well.
The 6 pin connector by the valve cover is the auto TPS connector. If you've already connected the TPS then it's extra. |

http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t...ighlight=Catch See this thread for proper catch can routing. It is not advised to put a breather on the front of the T

So I need to weld a bung to my intake? Hm, that kinda bugs. I'll email WS about the plugs. We litterally have EVERYTHING plugged it it seems. We laid the harness out and plugged stuff in and we just had spare plugs. We just cant figure out where they go.
For vaccum, I have to left to FPR T'd off for my EBC. Right will be my bov, which means I'll need a resizer as my HKS SSQV has a small little nipple but the right one is the same size as my WG. Then I'll probably put a thing on my coupler coming out of turbo to hot pipe that has a nipple and make that my WG/boost solenoid. Or I guess I could use the bottom nipple as it's a boost source, but then if I overboost, the WG would open to late because the air is already on the throttle plate basically, so meh. I'll just cap that bottom one. Thanks for the help guys. Unfortunantly I won't be able to drive my car for 2 more months. Might get a GT2871R and AEM to install for when I go home next. |
