Why don't you:
1)Click 'User CP'
2)Click "Edit Profile"
3)scroll down to "Instant Messaging" and insert you screen name under "AIM Screen Name:"

<---- See that little Orange Guy? That's the AOL buddy. If you click it below the person you want to talk to. It will give you their AIM screen name.
