VG30E wasn't very powerful from what I understand.(I could easily be wrong.)

Oh and for the topic. I'd take the S12 with a VG30ET, or an RB20DET. I've seen both engines in the car. There's an S12 club in Modesto. They have 2 ca18et all decked out, 3 ca18dets, 1 rb20det, at I think either 1 or 2 vg30ets.

S12 all the way, i almost picked up a factory turbo one with a ca18et awhile back, plus they are super cheap compared to s13 and ae86.
