Problem with MAF? IDK WTF is going on

well ive been having a problem with my car for about a week now.

i came home from driving to pick up a set of coilovers(which were blown!) and after leting the car sit for 20 minutes i went to go somewere else and the car didnt run.

i started it and it sputtered, jumped rpoms and died. i could keep it alive by hitting the gas on and off, but it just wouldnt run. i thought it could be the MAF, so i unpluged it. when i unpluged it it ran like normal almost, just with a 2.5k rpm rev limit, and it was choppy and sputtery some.

so i bought a new maf for the car and i install it tonight and its still doing the same thing. im dumbfounded. could it be anything else? plrease help me out this is my daily driver and i have no car.

oh btw its a 300zx maf on an sr20det.
