ordering custom wheels for widebody S13..
I'm nearing completion of the bodywork on my widebody S13, I'm about to order custom wheels and I'm not sure what offset I should get. I want to get 17x9 wheels, here's a pic of the car..
![]() it's got chargespeed front and rear fenders... any suggestions?

it'd help if you told us exactly how much wider the car is now... the front looks like chargespeed's 20mm wider fenders... hard to tell cuz the vents are difficult to make out... but the rear, who can tell?

-measure what wheels/tires you have on there right now....
-measure the distance from the rim AND tire to the fender -add HALF the distance to the width of the wheel of whatever the measurements from the rim AND tire to the fender (your wheel will be wider but in the same position theoretically because you havent changed offset yet) -since your wheels got wider, the offset width has changed, but the offset of where the wheel pad meets the wheel hub has not changed in terms of offset...So you have to factor in difference between your stock wheels and your new wider wheels to determine new "offsetted" position -now that you've got your width calculated you need to figure out offset -repeat the measurements from the rim AND tire to the fender -1 inch = about 25.4mm or something like that of course all of this depends on your tire sizes and alignment settings.... |

sorry if I was not clear, and thanks for the help so far.
I have 20mm wider front fenders and 50mm wider than stock rear fenders. Quote:

All depends how hardcore you want to go...
17x9 is fine for the front. But wayyyy too skinny for the rear. Front: 17x9 +15 fits flush with neg camber + stretched tires on stock rolled fenders. With an extra 20mm you can go 0 or -5 offset. Rear: Say you're getting 10" in the rear. 10" +25mm is faily flush with stock fenders. Extra 50mm will gets you -25mm offset. You need some ballsy wheels to fill those wells nicely. Personally I'd go 9.5 & 11.
