my car looks okay but there is a few rusty sport and chips i am taking care of slowly, i had a spot on the trunk (coupe) and i sanded it down to find an entire whole through it, i filled it in and primered it, but i keep hearing conflicting methods.
i was told to get black lacquer and buff it on, but all i can find is spray paint, i got generic black high gloss, my car is genereic black and i sprayed a few spots on the front bumper where it sratched near the bottom and it turned out pretty good but i dont know if it's appropriate for higher exposure areas like the trunk and a spot just behind the passneger door.
i have everything i need and will prolly spray in the next few days if i find no other alternative, i hate driving around with primer, although it makes me feel kinda tuff.
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO SPRAY THESE AREAS???
i'm sure many of you have done such work, but i cant afford to do the whole car yet, and i just want it to look respectable.
