sr not starting after z32 maf install

I installed a z32 maf on my SR20. when i started the ar it was studdering alot. I thought I wired it wrong, so I checked again an switched the black/silver wire on the z32(ground wire) with the solid black wire. then it didnt start at all. so I decided to switch it back to stock. now it doesnt start at all. is it possible to burn out the ignighter chip? car is getting fuel and cranking just doesnt start.

Yeah, very possible, I actually fried my first ignitor due to being a damn noob and thinking I can install the hole thing myself. Luckily I just used the ignitor out of a 96-97 Suzuki sidekick, it was like 30 bucks at a junkyard. I would go get one of those before you spend a shitload on a new sr ignitor.....the exact same part number and everything for less than a quarter of the cost!!

you should never blindly start switching wires, you should get a diagram and go by it, never move wires around when you dont know what your doing, that can caust massive electrical shorts that arent cheap to fix.

You probably already know this but...Is your computer modified by whatever means to read the z32 MAF signal? You can't just plug in a z32 MAF without the proper ecu upgrade you know..

My Z32 MAF is hard to start when the car is cold. I have to give it gas to get it to start.
And as the other guy asked, what are you using to control it? SAFC, Reflash?

not starting

My guess is that it is possible that you may have shorted out your ECU. open it up and see if there is any charred copper runs, you can't miss it plus the smell will tell ya it's ucked up.
