Recommended brake pads?

Hey- anyone have any recommendations for brake pads? I have 965 240sx with 300zx brakes I was thinking Endless NA-D but i think they only make rear pads. By the way its my daily driver but I drift on the weekends ... thanks

I have metal masters. Work pretty well for street use and ok, could be better for autoX. I bet with 300ZX breaks though they would RAWK.

I wouldn't recommend porterfield in my opinion. Eats rotors like crazy and lots of brake dust.

Porterfields R4-S do have dust, but for a street tire, can't argue about the performance.

there are a lot of threads of brake pads, but since you started your own thread and people seem to be responding..

axxis ultimates
pros: good stopping hot or cold, very little fade, cheap
cons: brake dust, brake dust, and more brake dust

project mu b-force...ive been told that they have the best control and linear feel...i plan to get a set when i go z32...

i had hawks on my mr2 turbo and they felt great...no problems...a little more brake dust than usual, but what do you expect?

my two friends are running axxis ultimates on their mr2 NAs and they feel really good...a nice linear feel...but again, dust...but who cares?

so far, my two friends running axxis and about 6-8 friends running b-forces have not run into premature rotor wear...and no, it isnt because they arent driving hard enough, trust me...nor did my hawks show any sign of eating the rotors...

OEM replacement

No, I run axxis/metalmaster. Good stuff, though I do prefer EBC green stuff better (on my Altima). For some reason, I still think my altima breaks better than my 240SX.

I can't shell out $150 for project mu pads when metal masters will lock my 255 tires on stock sloted rotors...

My Altima has no ABS. Base model. brake setup: brembo sport rotor + EBC green stuff. Haven't bled the lines in years.

240SX brake setup: stock rotor (almost gone) + Metalmaster. lines were bled a month ago.

I felt initial bite for the EBC green stuff is superior than metalmaster. However, I am comparing two different cars...

I had Porterfeild R4-S and didn't like them. S14 is too heavy for those pads. I have Cobalt GT spec now and they are terrific!

What else kind of driving do you do? If that's it the Hawk HPS should do you fine. If you are runnig downhill touge and track days i would get a higher temp pad. Carbotech pads are really good.

I'm removing HP plus pads on stock rotors. Chewed the hell out of them and dusted like crazy.
