Megan or D2?
Hey guys,
I am soon ready to get a full coilover kit, but i just do not know who i can rely on. Most of my friends say that D2's are good and some say that they blow on you. And megans, i have not heard much. Thanks for the help. |

i say megans is okay... but 32 adjustability thats way too much.. id rather opt for kts or silkroad... if ur on a budget... hell even the powertrix one could be better...

I've got D2's w/ 8/6 spring rates. I daily drive and autocross on them. 36-way adjustable helps alot. I've ridden in my friends 240 when he was autocrossing on his HE's with 8/6 rates. and I thought my D2's had better dampening and rebound. I've never had any experience with megan or kts coilovers but if there anything like Tien HE's then I'd reccommend D2's all the way. 36-way adjustable may be a little much for some people but you can dial the suspension in better. Plus the D2's are purple, there's nothing more JDM than running purple coilovers.

no, he means save $200 more, and add that $200 to what you have, in order to buy kts, because they cost $200 more than megan.

I have not ridden on any one of those choices besides the D2s, so i cant give an opinion. But what I can tell you is that the d2s are definetly a good buy. great street spring rate and is more than stiff enough for light track duty.

I've seen the reviews on the D2's in most of the magazines that I read. Actually plan on buying a pair in the near future. For the price D2's are reliable and durable. For the price you can't compare the spring rates that they have to offer either.
Megan just buy's contracts from other manufacturers and throws there stuff out on the market place, nothing that took any kind of R&D for a developement company, or for the way a developement company should be. I have a hard time wanting to buy Megan products just for the fact that it started as a chinese company selling crap on ebay a few years back...... Really BC is the only company that has allowed Megan to thrive as a business. But then again just my opinion.

I was skeptical with Megan as well, but as I did more researched and examined the product I was very impressed with them. Their turbo manifold is getting better as well so I guess they're coming around.

both junk
buy something of quality KTS is great brand tein isnt bad low end zeals might be close to the budgte range d2 is know for being shit megan gets terribly mixed reviews, most positive ones from people who havent owned any other coilovers, negative from people who have, often, not always. either way spend good money on quality and worry less about upgrades. can move on and consdier that part of the car.. 'done' |

MR gets their coilover from the same generic taiwanese manufacturer that most JDM company get theirs from. Only gripe i got with MR is that, rim clearance for it suck than most coilovers out there.
