need tire suggesiton
right now I have 15x7 wheels, yoko es100 225/50/15 all around
I found some non-staggered 16x8 wheels, maybe 0 to 10 offset, what do you guys think of runninng: 1) 255/50/16 kumho ecsta 712 in front and yoko es100 in the front? 2) 245/50/16 yoko es100 rear and 225/50/16 yoko es100 front? 3) 245/50/16 all around? |

because cheese grater is to cheese as road is to es100. not to mention that it is prone to chunk, but depends on the circumstances of how you drive it.. |

BFG G-Force Sports all around.
I'm happy with them.

Because Nitto's suck, pretty sure Dunlop sucks.
I highly doubt it was a G-force KD, maybe a KDW or KDWS (more letters = less grip) get some Kumho Mx's, they come in those sizes I think. One of the best streetable performance tires, and afforably priced. |

Those are some pretty fat sidewall your gonna get... 245/50's!?255/50's!?
My 225/50/16's are fatt.. Looks like im going off roading. If anything I would suggest 225/45/16 all around. I have never seen a size 235/45/16 or 245/40/16. I think those would look great. The 245-255 width makes your sidewall really tall. Unless you have some power to back it up. Anywho, I think the kuhmo's are good. Ive been surprised at good remarks on the lower line like hankook and generals(they are sponsors for some drift cars!). Ive never heard of generals performance line but people are drifting with those tires! |

kumho and yoko es100 both have the 245/50/16... I wouldn';t mind going with either tires but proabbly not hangook. if the 50 is too tall, how about the 45 series?
so... 245/45/16 all around or 225/45/16 F and 245/45/16 R better? I am not making that much power like some zilvia member have... maybe 260~280rwhp only and yes it was the geforce sport i had and didn't like |

g-force sport is a lower end tire, just like the es100
MX is true street performance in the afforable price range. Go with 245/45/16 More tire in front can be good, depends on your setup and driving I guess. They do all of the turning and most of the braking. Since you're making decent power I guess you might want a stagger, and 225/245 is a common split IIRC. |

Kumho MX use to be made in 245/45R16 but they ceased that and I believe they offer 245/50R16. On a 8'' wide rim 225 isnt bad. I would personally go for the Kumho MX in 225/50, thats what I'm going to be doing

damn, Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 245/45/16 is the only max performance that's about 100$ each
every other max performance for that size is at least 150$ I might just go with Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 245/45/16 all around, is there anything I neeed to know about running it like this? |

yeah your going to have TONS more grip than your used to, and you'll be out of tire in roughly 8k give or take depending on driving style.

ES100 isn't even mentinoed as a performance tire- the Hankooks are.
check out Grassroots Motorsports, they have compared the Hankooks with Kumho MX, Azenis RT-215, and RT-615, all very good budget street performance tires that are used on autox and track cars |
