diff help please

hey all,

just a question maybe nub but ill ask anyways.

i have a s14 kouki and im going tommrrow to swap in a 95+j30 diff (6bolt) in my car. i just want to make sure this is a direct swap the j30`s will bolt right into my kouki being that there both 6bolts?

if ur car has ABS then it should fine. cuz i think most J30 have ABS system.

if ur car is a NON-ABS and u try to a LSD that came off a ABS equipted car, then u might run into a fitment problem. because the drive shaft on the ABS and non ABS cars were different in length, same with LSDs (ABS and non-ABS LSD are different in length)

Your driveshaft will be a 1/4" to 1/2" too long then

Like mentioned before the driveshaft will now be a very snug fit with the diff. I've heard this greatly reduces the life of the carrier bearing due to the added stress, but never actually talk to someone where it did. I never had issues with it though.
