glowshift gauges?
just wondering if anyone of you guys have glowshift gauges.. seems like a pretty good deal for 3 gauges and the pillar pod combo for 149.99
i was researching that a lot of ppl are into the mechanical gauges then the electronical. mechanical having a faster response and being more accurate.? i couldnt find any info on if the glowshift gauges were mechanical or electronical.. i just want to know what ppl think about this product thanks |

They have both but not in every gauge. I have them on my truck and the only problem I had with them was the temp sensor for my tranny took a shit, but that was only a $9 fix.

I actually just got my GlowShift Oil Pressure Gauge installed today! I used to have some Autozone mechanical gauge, which I hated. The plastic oil line would always crack and leaked oil everywhere! The GlowShift gauges come with an Electronic Sender Unit which in my opinion is a million times better and safer!
For the price, you can't beat them! |

Oil Pressure and Water Temp. You only need oil temp if you're making insane power and your oil gets really hot! Hahaha
Anyways, I have a Boost Gauge, Oil Pressure Gauge, and Water Temp gauge. I don't really need anything else... |

I have Transmission temp, Fuel pressure, and Vacuum. I really like them. I have the tinted 7 color series by the way. My friend has the exact same ones but in white. He likes them too. I was going to get them for my s13 since they are priced nice, but I had to jump on my BLM's for the price.
I was looking into a new tach, and was thinking of giving the Elite one a shot. Mine is off and I can't adjust it any more.

I have the tinted series and I LOVE IT! And yeah I know, I've been doing my best. First time on the track, I managed to clip a nice stack of tires and mess up my fender a little, but I'm planning on either getting a clean silvia conversion, or leaving the pop ups and getting a cheap kit to beat up on the track so i don't ruin my stock aero anymore....

It's changed a little since then... I have a completely different headlight set up that I got from my friend Alex. Also, the hood is back to matching red, along with the roof, and the rims are painted Metallic Gold. You can see how the fender is a little dented, and the fender to bumper line isn't very clean but it's not a big deal... I go to the track almost every weekend so what do you expect? And as of right now, I have redtop Sr20, upgraded ISIS turbo, megan turbo exhaust, megan street coilovers, corbeau bucket seats, sparco harnesses, A/C vent gauges, and welded diff. I plan on doing LOTS more! |

Thanks man! And that's awesome! I love the sil80's, I'll probably end up doing that as well...
But yeah, as of right now gauge wise, I have the AEM Tru Boost (boost gauge and controller in one), GlowShift Oil Pressure Gauge, and some cheap mechanical water temp gauge. I'll be getting another GlowShift Water Temp gauge to match pretty soon, but it turns out my exhaust manifold is completely fried and all the gaskets are blown so that comes first. |

Not a bad gauge at all. I have a 2 friends that have been using them for a while. I am currently funning the elite 10 series and I like them alot. The full sweep on turn on is pretty cool too. Yes a little ricey, but Im going back to rice JDM is over rated now adays

My friends sender in boiling water only showed 198 degrees. 14 degrees off. Got a replacement and it was showing 206 on replacement gauge. Still 6 degrees off. And my other friends gauge shows 130-140 degrees all the time while ECT shows 160-170. That there is 30 degree difference. Maybe my friends seem to be getting unlucky.
