double check my fuel pr. setting
i installed a generic fpr sr20det redtop and it has a little more lag in second gear than the stock fpr had.
the method i used was pulling the green egi pump relay and jumping it. im using a rented fpr gauge brand new from autozone. its installed after the 300zx fuel filter. so when i turned the key on engine off with the relay jumped it sent constant fuel pressure. then i turned it down to what looked to be 43.5-44psi. no with the jumper wire off and relay plugged in the gauge seems to read 36 psi at idle and when i get on it fuel raises to 44psi. under high boost seems to get up to about 50psi i believe this is correct but in second gear i seem to have a lag. now that i think about it i didnt even to think to check the boost gauge. ideas??? thanks |

I believe base fuel pressure should be 38psi with vacuum and 43.5 with no vacuum at idle.
