From stock to race.. My S13 Build..
Whats up guys, have posted too often on here, dont have much time these days other than work, family and cars to cruise around on here but I felt like you guys would like to take a look at my build.
So here it began, 91 S13 hatch, stock suspension w/tein springs, SSR wheels, JDM front end with OEM Aero bumper The car quickly was torn apart and the SR20Det was resealed, cleaned and had a once over done to make sure all the vital components were good and strong Circuit Sport mounts installed on the engine and tranny While the car was torn apart and sitting on the rack, I addressed all the suspension with Powered by Max 5 lug hubs as well were purchased and installed at the same time I used the PBM Super angle kit and modified my knuckles for better angle and also reduce bumpsteer. The kit also came with plates to fill in the lower control arms. Installed PBM's tie rods with the spacer and threw on some s14 tie rod ends. As some time went by I wanted to address the option of gauges and I just so happen to find some old school HKS gauges that would go well with the car, so a buddy of mine grabbed me a sheet of carbon fiber and I went to work Picked up a NRG Suede wheel and hub also PBM Coilovers installed When I was looking for wheels I didnt want to choose anything too pricey and I didnt feel like cringing anytime I had an off track excursion or mounting and dismounting tires, so I chose the VarrsToen 2.2.1 in 18 x 9.5 and 18 x 10.5 The car sat for a little bit while I recovered from the extreme splurging I was doing within the last couple months.. but once that was done I took it further and in the direction I always wanted to... The car was completely gutted out and all the sound deadening was removed. Dry ice! Once all that was removed, the cage went and in and after a couple nights of prep and fabrication it was in. ...but the finished pictures will be at the end.. Welded in the strut brace mounting for the fun of it. Installed some hood spacers that I actually made using PBM spacers for the rear toe arms. PBM Skid plate installed I used some DEI gold heat tape on the cold side pipe So finally with everything said and done, here the final pics of the interior and exterior of the car Ive only had one day of testing so far and it felt pretty good, still have a lot to dial in and it was at a local autocross and they were not to excited for drifting but it was still fun, heres a video of that day. YouTube - ‪Will's 91 s13 Test and tune 6/11/11‬‏ Hopefully you guys enjoyed the pics, Im going to try to get as much seat time with the new setup and fine tune this thing in so it'll be a blast. |

Neat.
Keeping it stock bodied or will you be running some sort of aero? (OEM perhaps?) Looks like that'll be one fun track car. |

great quality on the build. work on your smoothness when in auto cross. don't know how your car is set up but you seemed a bit agressive on throttle and steering controle. car looks great though.
