Tanabe DF210 springs, any camber issues

Anyone have any issues with camber by using these springs on their s14. Do you have to buy camber plates and control arms and all that stuff lol.

Also I saw where tanabe usa said agx will do fine with them but are there cheaper struts, cause I could do without the adjustability. Spend most my time straightline and not in the corners lol.

Anybody? I did search b4 anyone says that lol. Just need to know whether these springs are worth it or will they be an arm and a leg by forcing me to by camber correction stuff which = more money?

Was thinking about swift springs also.

Get the KYB GR2 struts if you don't want the adjustability. There cheaper. I don't know about the camber issue since I have coilovers. I'm sure you need the camber bolts though since you're lowering it.

GR-s aren't de-signed to work with aftermarket lowering springs, they are stock replacements.

go with AGX's

you should always have an alignment done after any height change, but since you're lookin at cheapo stuff it probably doesn't mean enough to you to worry about it

nah stick with the agx or maybe even looking into Tokico Blues....

the Gr2 is an OEM replacement shock...

Camber plates are optional, but I would definitely suggest camber bolts and maybe even RUCAs for the rear being that drop is nearly 2".

Tokico blues are cheaper than AGX for S14. GR2 is factory replacement, like all members stated above.

Stock suspension have few adjustability, but nothing much.

Watch out for toe (more) and less camber. an out of wack Toe eats away tire way quicker than camber... So, do you math. Save up money for the good stuffs (i.e. coilover, RUCA, Toe arms, etc...)

Don't worry about the camber issues, just get an alignment after the springs settle (about 1 week of driving).

I ran lowering springs on Tokico blue shocks for a while with no camber problems (using stock arms and stock camber plates).

I have AGX and the DF210's and had an alignment done afterwards and they got it pretty straight, I'm not super low and the ride is great! I doubt I will ever get coilovers I'm not a tear up my shit at the track person more of a hard parker right now haha! Plus I only have about 5mm clearance to get up my driveway and can't go any lower living where I do.

If by "straightline" you mean cruising around on the street, then yeah, just get the springs and an alignment afterwards. There will be more camber out back so the car will tend to understeer if anything. That isn't a terrible thing on the street.
If "straightline" means drag, the added camber is going to suck.

I got thos springs on my S14. They give you a nice drop alright, but you'll have some negative camber in the back. However, thats not the problem I had with them.. my springs settled unevenly in the back and I have no clue why that happened and how I can fix it.

Hmm thanks guys for all the replys...especially samms95s14se. I was waiting for you to chime in since I knew you had them. Yeah if I get em I think I will do the AGX, cause anything less seems like its based on stock springs.

I'm not tryin to cheap out, but it's just I know after springs and struts I won't have enuff money to get all the camber stuff with em. Maybe later. But samms95s14se if all you think I would need is an alignment, than thats great. I had that planned anyway, cause I know its a good idea after nay drop.

Thanks

I forgot to mention that I have them on the AGX shocks.. also, you won't notice any camber issues in the front. You don't have to correct them as far as I know. But if you want, you can just buy a set of those eccentric bolts for the front and adjust the camber that way.

In the rear, you'll need ajustable rear upper control arms AND adjustable rear toe links. If you just get the RUCA's, you won't be able to adjust the camber since the toe will be way out of spec and you'll get pretty uneven tire wear.

Hope that helps.

RUCA + Toe arms for the win! They are not that expensive, and they will prepare you for the ultimate suspension setup (coilovers). In the future, you will need those anyway.

Alignment won't hurt, it should only help....

Okay but what I'm saying is I could probably wait a couple months b4 getting em. say like 4mo at the most right? See I'm goin for a new look for summer, all stock now. So say I get the springs and and struts for summer, and get the toe links and rucas by like sept or oct? I want wheels for summer too, and I don't want a lot of wheel gap with em. I can't really focus all my money to suspesnion right now. Maybe somemore later.

Update!!!!!!!!

Okay forget all I said in my last post, cause I just bought RUCAs and Toe arms on ebay as a set. Only thing is seller told me instructions are in japanese. So I figure installation is just a swap of the old with the new? But what about bolt torque and all that? Is they're a common torque to use for these? It's proabably in the instructions but I'm afraid I won't recognize it if they're in japanese. So if anyone can hit me back with some advice I would appreciate it. I more than likely will have them installed, so I need to know what to warn the installer about.

Oh btw here's a pic. I did get the right arms right lol, cause the seller listed them as rear upper camber and toe control arms....http://i10.ebayimg.com/01/i/05/f9/fd/a1_1_sbl.JPG

buy an FSM or download one (here, google, wutever)

Nearly every single bolt can be torqued to 80 lbs/ft on the 240sx suspension IIRC

Okay kool. Hey judging from the pic, there aren't any bushings that seem to be missing. Sounds like a dumb question, but just checkin b4 I send payment.
Everything seem kool for alignment? Again, keep in mind I just got these so I could do things the right and safe way when I lower, so don't hold it against me if it's not the jdm drift special. Like I said I just cruise and have straight line fun. No disrespect to those who like hitting the curves btw lol, thought I throw that in there

Now I wonder if I need anything for the front, or just wait for alignment after these along with springs and struts are in place

Thanks again, I know this is an ongoing thing

One of the reasons people upgrade their multi link suspension is to get rid of the bushings which will wear out sooner or later
All the aftermarket ruca's, toe links, tc rods, etc.. have heim joints.

As for the front, you can get the TC Rods, but all they will allow you to do is to adjust the caster angle. More importantly, you'll see an improvement in steering and the car will feel more responsive.

Hmm okay thanks for the info! Can anyone estimate what install time might be like. Also typically how do you adjust the two. I know from the pic the ends of the toe arm seem to screw in and out, should the fork part of it also?

Oh yeah, why those zip ties are possibly on the ends of the toe arms in the picture. Seen em on higher end ones two in their pics. Do they move or something. Cause I was thinking if a bolt goes through them, that they might move to asorb bumps or am I looking at it the wrong way lol.

As you can see I'm a newb to anything alignment related
